Kith and ASICS are set to expand on their long-lasting partnership by introducing a brand-new ASICS Gel-Lyte III to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the creation of the X-Men.
The collaboration will feature 7 different colorways, paying homage to characters such as Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, and Wolverine, who has received two colorways. The nostalgia doesn’t end with this release, as the sneakers arrive in trading card style, randomizing which colorway you will receive. This touch is inspired by Ronnie Fieg and his childhood, where he used to collect Marvel cards.
Not only will you receive an X-Men character-inspired sneaker, but you will also get a collectible Marvel trading card, ranging from standard to one-of-one rarity, which will feature the logos of both Kith and Marvel and come housed in special Kith x PSA co-branded slabs. In addition, a line of apparel, collectibles, and accessories will also be part of the release. At this moment in time, it seems that the most sought-after colorway is the yellow and blue iteration, which is known as Wolverine’s most iconic suit from the X-Men comics.
The Kith x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “X-Men” is set to be released on the Kith website and in all Kith stores on the 28th of July. However, anyone attending San-Diego Comic Con can get their hands on this collab first, as it will be available from the 19th of July through to the 23rd.
