Boston-based boutique Concepts reconnects with ASICS once again to introduce a patriotic edition of the GEL-LYTE V to celebrate the silhouette’s 30th birthday.
Earning the title “Libertea” through its red, white, and blue color scheme along with gold and silver metallic accents, the latest project by this duo references one of their previous collabs; the ASICS SportStyle GEL-LYTE III “Boston Tea Party” which was released back in 2015.
The upper consists of a mesh and suede combination, with an integrated tongue and alternative pink and black laces. Gold and silver tiger stripes appear on the side panels, while the outsole features a drip of red from the heel counter. Co-branding can be found on the faux-wood insoles while also appearing on the special edition shoebox.
The Concepts x ASICS GEL-LYTE V “Libertea” will release exclusively at Concepts and via selected retailers in July.
