The ASICS GT-2160 is undoubtedly in the spotlight right now. The sleek model originally made its debut back in 2011, arriving as a cheaper alternative to the famous Kayano line while still acting as a high-performance sneaker, built for runners who needed enhanced motion control.
Brands such as Dime and Cecilie Bahnsen have already put their innovative spin on the GT-2160, and now, ASICS is set to join forces once again with Australia-based Above The Clouds to give the model another makeover.
From the images revealed by @cakenontcrumbs Instagram, the ASICS x Above The Clouds GT-2160 will feature a tonal green and blue upper, complemented by hits of metallic silver on the overlays, cream laces, and a bronze lace loop. The upper features a mesh and synthetic leather mix, while a translucent TPE midfoot and toebox provide a futuristic aesthetic.
As for now, there is no official release date for the Above The Clouds x ASICS GT-2160, although more info should arrive soon, and we’ll keep you updated as always.
