Nike Is Bringing Back The KOBE Brand For Kobe Day (August 24th)

After a couple of years of speculation, Nike CEO John Donahoe has revealed that they are set to relaunch the Kobe brand on Kobe Day, which takes place on August 24th of this year.

This is great news for Black Mamba fans and sneakerheads after the partnership’s future was understandably thrown into doubt after Kobe passed away in 2020. Vanessa Bryant announced that the Nike Kobe line would continue back in 2022, and we now have official confirmation of this, and we can now begin to get excited about the future of the Kobe Brand.

Rumors are already circulating about which pairs could return. The ones that have been mentioned are the Kobe 6 “Prelude,” the Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch,” and the Kobe 8 “Triple White,” along with the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacity Sweet 16”, which has been created to pay homage to the life of Gigi Bryant.

As we mentioned earlier, nothing is set in stone yet regarding official releases. However, Kobe Day is only just over a month away, so we expect more details to develop soon.
