Berlin-based brand GmbH is known for pushing the boundaries in the fashion industry, and now, they’ve joined forces once again with ASICS SportStyle to breathe new life into ASICS’ classic GEL-Kayano series.
Official imagery has now surfaced of this collaboration after it was first revealed at the GmbH Fall/Winter 2023 runway, which sees the iconic GEL-Kayano arrive in two brand-new bold colorways; “White/Black” and “Coriander Green/Gold.” Design-wise, the GEL-Kayano boasts a breathable, large mesh opening base with leather overlays which add a premium aesthetic, finished with GmbH’s logo positioned on the heel counter and insole, while Chinese characters can be located on the tongue labels.
These characters highlight the international, cross-cultural approach that GmbH has become well known for over the years. At the time of writing, there is currently no official release date for the GmbH x ASICS GEL-Kayano Legacy Collection, although, it’s speculated that this collaboration will release in the early stages of September.
