New Balance joins forces once again with one of the biggest agents in all of sports, Rich Paul, the CEO of Klutch Sports, LeBron James’ Manager, and childhood friend, to introduce their second collaboration putting their twist on the basketball-inspired New Balance 550 model.
Following on from their previous collab, which was released last year, New Balance and Rich Paul go down a more endearing path on this project, as the New Balance 550 “Lavender” or New Balance 550 “Forever Yours” is made to pay homage to Paul’s loved ones.
The upper swaps out the usual smooth leather for a soft suede construction, covered in a light purple hue, along with hits of dark purple on the outline of the “N” logo and the tongue branding. The midsole of this loving pair features a slightly off-white shade, while the outsole also features the lavender hue used on the upper. The unique details don’t end there as the box includes co-branding on the top lid, while the words “Forever Yours” are located on the interior.
