Stüssy and Nike have been key partners since the early 2000s, and with another classic silhouette celebrating its 35th anniversary, it’s a no-brainer that the Cali brand takes its shot at it. We are, of course, talking about the Nike Air Flight 89.
First released in 1989, the shoe took inspiration from the Air Jordan 4, featuring visible AIR cushioning and other key parts. The retro silhouette is now being reinterpreted by Stüssy and will arrive in three different colorways, of which one the “White/Habanero Red” version has been leaked. Two other iterations are also expected to drop, namely a “Black/White” and “White/Pecan” iteration featuring faux snakeskin overlays, a feature we have seen from Stüssy over the years on many sneakers. Equipped with co-branded tongues and Nike Air embroidery on the heel, this first colorway is already a super clean version of the classic basketball shoe.
Stay tuned for the exact release date of the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 Collaboration, but you can expect it to drop this fall via Stüssy.
