With the passing of Mac Miller in 2018, the music community lost one of its brightest and most influential stars. The same year, in August, he released his last record, “Swimming,” which now gets a special honor from Vans.
The American sports brand and the Mac Miller estate have joined forces to pay homage to the late rapper and his last record, “Swimming,” by immortalizing the LP as a Vans Authentic. One of Mac’s favorite sneakers is kept in a classic black canvas featuring a yin-and-yang symbol on the toe box and “Mac Miller 1992 Til ∞” across the midsole.
As part of the project, both sites have decided to donate some of the proceeds to the Mac Miller Fund, which directly provides help for musicians that need resources.
Vans x Mac Miller will be released on August 3 via the Mac Miller website.
