Two giants in the footwear industry are set to collide as AAPE by Bathing Ape & Vans have announced the “Bolt” collection, which features striking reimaginations of two iconic Vans silhouettes, the Authentic and SK8-Hi.
These sneakers will feature the legendary camo print that has become synonymous with Bathing Ape, combined with electrifying bolts that begin on the midsole and onto the sidewall. Each silhouette is constructed with a soft suede material, and both will arrive in two different colorways, “Olive” and “Grey Snow Camo.” The iconic Jazz Stripe on the SK8-Hi is covered in blue on the grey version, while the Jazz Stripe on the olive iteration is coated in pink. Both silhouettes feature “apes and planet earth” on the midsole alongside the usual Vans & AAPE branding on the heel counter, while Vans’ iconic Off The Wall logo is on the tongue.
