Earlier this year, we informed you that Nike was set to relaunch the Kobe brand after months of speculation and negotiations, and we now finally have a clearer look at what’s set to be released later this month.
Nike has confirmed that the first silhouette to get the Kobe Brand back to where it belongs will be a triple white interpretation of the Kobe 8 Protro. This clean colorway has earned the name “Halo,” as it’s inspired by the immense impact of Black Mamba’s life after suddenly passing away and the legacy that Kobe left behind. News of this release has been confirmed by Vanessa Bryant, who also stated that more variations of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Halo” are on the way in the near future.
This news has been very well received by fans of the Black Mamba, who still regard Kobe’s b-ball silhouettes as some of the best in the game. The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Halo” will be released on August 23rd via the SNKRS app.
