Copenhagen-based brand GANNI has made a name for itself in the fashion industry through its eye-catching ready-to-wear pieces, placing bold, playful graphics on knitwear, t-shirts, dresses, you name it. Although they’ve also made some noise in the sneaker world by previously collaborating with New Balance on the 2002R back in 2002, now, the duo has teamed up once again to put an innovative spin on the 1906R and the RC30.
As far as differences from their last collab go, GANNI & New Balance have swapped out the heavy-branded look for a more muted design with vibrant hits of color. The 1906R, for example, will arrive in two different colorways. One will boast a bright and bold yellow hue with hits of black on the outline of the “N” logos, laces, and on the midsole, while the other features a crisp white base with a clean black trim and hits of yellow on the “N” logos, lace loops and on one of the pull tabs at the heel.
As for the RC30, GANNI & New Balance have opted for two different looks on each shoe. The right side features a stealthy black look with hits of yellow on the “N” logos, laced and on the back of the midsole, whilst the left foot boasts a split design, with black and yellow both covering the upper. The GANNI & New Balance 1906R is set to be released on the 16th of August via GANNI and on the 18th of August via New Balance, while the RC30 is exclusively available at GANNI .
