Portland, Oregon-born rapper, singer, and songwriter Aminé has had a strong start to 2023, releasing the highly anticipated joint album with forward-thinking producer Kaytranada titled “KAYTRAMINE.”
The innovative artist is now ready to tackle the fashion industry, announcing his signature sneaker with New Balance. Although it hasn’t yet been announced which silhouette Aminé will take on, we’ve seen him wear models such as the 990v3, 992, and 2002R since his partnership began with NB last year. It was only a matter of time until Amine was awarded his own signature sneaker.
The rapper had previously featured in numerous campaigns for New Balance and has always been known as one of the most out-going artists in fashion since he gained fame in 2016. The hype around this collab is already at a high, with Aminé sharing the news on his Instagram by posting a promo video of a billboard in his hometown that states; “A Kid From Portland Has His Own Sneaker.” Stay tuned here at SNS for more information on this upcoming release.
UPDATE: Aminé has now teased his first work with NB, the New Balance 610. What we can see from the imagery, the shoe has a glossy leather brown overlay and yellow mesh underlays. Equipped with toggle lacing.
