Since it was announced in 2020 that adidas was going to join forces with Fear Of God creator Jerry Lorenzo, we couldn’t wait to see the results. After Jerry moved on from Nike and we saw giant banners at the Herzo HQ, we were waiting and waiting just to get countless speculative leaks of shoes that could or could not be released. Yes, there was the yellow hoodie that Jerry himself wore to a Lakers game back in 2022, but now the time has finally come for the first official look at Fear of God Athletics, adidas, and FOG’s collaborative brand. So let’s check out some of the collection’s key pieces.

Fast forward, the who-is-who of the sneaker and fashion world was welcomed to Los Angeles for the first-ever Fear of God’s runway fashion show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles; those in attendance were treated to an early look at some of the styles that could feature in the first collection. It seems FOG, or to be more specific, Fear of God Athletics, has worked on a high-top sneaker heavily inspired by adidas’ basketball heritage. This style was seen in numerous colorways, such as minimal black, triple white, and cream, featuring a ribbed fabric across the toe box with the iconic 3-Stripes logo appearing in a cage-like design. Attendees would have also noticed a second FOG x adidas style, boasting a similar design to the adidas Forum Hi. However, it hasn’t yet been confirmed if the classic Forum Hi has received the FOG treatment.
The behind-the-hand gossip is, of course, if the partnership can be the “new” YEEZY for adidas? Honestly, it’s pretty hard to say from a revenue perspective, but style-wise, it’s perfect. The sleek silhouettes with sportswear DNA blended with matte colors that mirror FOG’s language look great together and definitely make sense.
