Since 2013, Stone Island & New Balance have teamed up several times to introduce innovative iterations on some of NB’s most popular models. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Stone Island & New Balance are at it again, providing a tease of their next project via Instagram, which hints at the New Balance 991v2 receiving a brand-new interpretation.
The teaser doesn’t give much away; in fact, it only offers a look at the outsole, which features Stone Island’s iconic logo beneath translucent rubber. The teaser also suggests that this collaboration could fuse elements from other NB styles, such as the New Balance 997.5, which combined a New Balance 997 upper with a New Balance 998 midsole. As we mentioned, information at this moment in time is very minimal. The good news is that anyone looking to grab a pair shouldn’t wait too long.
The Stone Island x New Balance 991v2 is set to be released in the coming weeks via Stone Island’s official channels, select retail stores both in physical outlets and online, and potentially on NewBalance.com.
