In recent years, frequent collaborators Levi’s and New Balance have added an innovative touch to many of the Boston brand’s silhouettes, and they’re joining forces once again, updating the New Balance 580 model to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Levi’s iconic 501 jeans.
This collab will include two brand-new colorways of the New Balance 580, one of which will feature a black denim upper with suede overlays coated in beige, whilst the other pair boasts a dark blue denim base with grey nubuck overlays. Both pairs also feature hits of blue and pink on the heel counter, sidewall, and on the classic “N” logos to complete the design, while NB’s ABZORB cushioning and ROLLBAR in the rear foot add extra comfort and support. This collaboration features heavy inspiration from ’70s mountain bikes, and the packaging also pays homage to the birthplace of mountain biking, Marin County, which is located just across the Golden Gate Bridge from Levi’s hometown, San Francisco.
At the time of writing, there is no official release date for the Levi’s x New Balance 580 pack. However, rumors state that it’s expected to be released in November. Stay tuned for more info.
