In recent years, we’ve seen adidas combine with one of the most popular TV shows of all time, The Simpsons, to introduce some unforgettable character-inspired collaborations. Some of our favorite characters from the show, such as Marge and Bart, have appeared in some classic adidas styles, and now, it’s time for one of the most iconic moments from The Simpsons’ long-lasting history to receive its own adaption in sneaker form.
That moment we’re referencing comes from Episode 16 of Season 5 — dubbed “Homer Loves Flanders,” where the show’s lead patriarch, Homer Simpson, slowly disappears into the bushes behind him. It’s also frequently used for memes which expands on the show’s longevity. Combine that moment with the iconic Stan Smith, and you’ve got a winner. Originally revealed in the latter stages of 2022, the adidas Stan Smith “Homer Simpson” is finally set to be released in the coming months. The OG look of the adidas Stan Smith remains, with the clean white upper complimented by gold-foiled branding and a retro yellowed midsole.
The classic Simpsons moment used is located on the heel counter and the tongue branding, referencing T-1000, the villain from the action movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day. As for now, there is no confirmed release date for this collab, although we can at least get a look at what’s to come as official images have finally been provided.
