ASICS has a brand-new collaboration on the way, adding to its impressive list of joint ventures in 2023. Having already worked with names such as Dime, Above The Clouds, Bodega, and more, it’s been confirmed that the next collab from ASICS sees them partner up with Australia-based store front Up There to breathe new life into the iconic Gel Lyte III.
Joining forces for the second time, the Up There x ASICS Gel-Lyte III takes inspiration from the sights and sounds of the legendary bird “Kookaburra” and its famous “laugh.” This Gel-Lyte III features a combination of mesh, suede, and leather on the upper, which blends together earthy tones to reflect the bird’s look. A cream-white base and a dark brown hue on the lateral sides and heel counter are complimented by a speckled brown color on the quarter, whilst the tiger stripes are highlighted in vibrant turquoise, completing the design.
The Up There x ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Kookaburra” is set to be released on the 27th of October in Australia and will also receive a global release on the 4th of November.
