Back in May, adidas announced Tulie Yaito as their latest collaborator. The innovative designer is known for her involvement with brands such as Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Russell Athletic, and Awake NYC, as well as co-founding the accessory label Yaito which quickly gained recognition for its collection of vibrant bandana print knot bags and jackets.
As part of the announcement, Yaito and adidas teased their first collaboration, although, at the time, there were no official details regarding the model, colorway, etc. The wait is over as official images have surfaced displaying Yaito’s creative touch over the iconic adidas Forum Hi. This pair is destined to catch the eye with its vibrant textures paired with contrasting brown and white pony skin, complimented by green suede overlays and bright blue three stripes. Some of the materials and patterns used pay homage to the bags that Yaito created in the past, along with OG elements of the adidas Forum Hi, such as classic branding on the tongue and midsole. It’s safe to say that if this collaboration indicates what’s coming from the pair in the future, then we’re in for a treat.
