Here at SNS, we love a history-breaking sneaker release, and that’s precisely what Sandy Liang has done with this SALOMON collab. Liang has become the first woman to collaborate with SALOMON on a footwear release, and it’s safe to say that it has not disappointed. The NYC-based designer, raised in Bayside, Queens, and heavily inspired by her Chinese heritage, has put her innovative touch on the XT-6 Expanse.
Inspired by childhood memories of Pokémon characters and vintage Sanrio toys, this style arrives in a light-hearted shade of pink over the soft mesh base. Liang’s branding features on the tongue’s extended pull tab, whilst green accents appear throughout, adding some vibrant contrast. Finally, Liang has included her floral motif, which is printed onto the Ortholite sockliner, a feature that reinforces the nostalgic inspiration behind this design.
The SALOMON x Sandy Liang XT-6 Expanse and the Salomon x Sandy Liang RX Moc 3.0 are only available at SNS Stockholm. For any updates, get the SNS app.
