There aren’t many basketball sneakers out there that have matched the forward-thinking design of the Nike Air Foamposite, the futuristic style originally released back in 1997 and is still a favorite for sneakerheads, with multiple collabs and iconic colorways having been released over the years.

One of those colorways is now set for a legendary return; the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” is rumored to release around springtime in 2024. The “Eggplant” colorway initially touched down in 2009 with a follow-up release in 2017 and features a jet black shade along the nubuck and mesh tooling, which outfits the tongue, lining, and quarter overlay, complimented by shades of “Varsity Purple” on the pull tabs, accents of the tongue and embroidered Swooshes. Finally, the icy blue outsole is destined to return, while the upper’s violet shell dawns the staple pearly finish.
