The Converse Weapon Makes a Return in Collaboration with Fragment Design

Converse and Fragment have enjoyed a fruitful relationship over the years, having worked together on some of Converse’s most iconic silhouettes, such as the Chuck 70. The two have joined forces again, bringing the OG Weapon model back to life. The Converse Weapon originally debuted in 1986, quickly becoming a staple in basketball, whether worn on or off the court. Fast forward to 2023, and the bulky silhouette is back in OG form through a new collaboration with Fragment’s Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Adopting Fragment’s iconic black, blue, and white color blocking, this style arrives with a full leather upper featuring a fragment design logo debossed on the lateral heel cap, underscoring the design house’s signature understated branding. Staying true to the OG, a leather woven tongue features an original Converse Weapon-branded label and terry cloth lining. Alongside this release, Converse and Fragment have also produced an apparel collection consisting of a varsity jacket, short-sleeve t-shirts, and a brand-heavy hoodie, all curated to match perfectly with the Weapon model due to their retro-inspired designs.
