The adidas Superstar Conchas Pays Homage To Mexican Foot

We’ve seen many different iterations of the adidas Superstar since its release in 1969. The iconic model is one of few that maintains its place in sneaker culture as a classic.

The latest iteration of the Superstar sees the brand with the Three Stripes look to Mexico for inspiration, introducing three “shell-toes” inspired by “Conchas,” a play on the Spanish word for “shell.” These three Superstars arrive in different flavor-inspired colorways, “Icy Pink,” “Cardboard,” and “Wonder White” represent strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, covered in a soft terrycloth material.

The iconic Three Stripes logo stands out on each pair dressed in a darker shade, whilst one of the most memorable features about this collab is located on the toe: the “conchapatos” enjoy a crust-like finish at the forefoot, faithfully recreating conchas Mexicanas.
