Fueled by a desire to modernize the Camo print, a staple on the scene, Converse x Sneakersnstuff introduces a bold twist on ERDL, a print developed by US Army Engineer Research and Development Laboratory in the 60s. The One Star take on the military print comes to life through texture and color. Translating a traditionally graphic application into a unique patchwork of suede and leather, Converse and Sneakersnstuff focused on two palettes – the classic “canteen” palette, and a “deep lavender” palette, which is exclusively available from Sneakersnstuff.
“Camo has always played an important role in fashion and streetwear.” – Erik Fagerlind co-founder of Sneakersnstuff
“We wanted to elevate the print by stitching leather together in a slow, unnatural process. We do not believe in taking shortcuts. This is not fast fashion. The collection is thorough, genuine and displays a high level of craftsmanship.” – Peter Jansson co-founder of Sneakersnstuff.
In addition to the One Star, the collaboration also includes apparel: a GORE-TEX® Coaches Jacket with wind and water-resistant fabric, silk screen reflective logo and adjustable draw cord at the hem as well as a deep lavender Converse Essentials long-sleeve tee and egret short-sleeve feature military-inspired spec graphics and dual-branded logos.
The collection will be available April 12 at Sneakersnstuff stores in Stockholm, London, Berlin, Paris, New York and online.
