If you have followed us over the last few years, our respect and admiration for Salehe Bembury’s creations at Crocs as well as New Balance, is through the roof. Now we have gotten the news that Crocs and Salehe have signed an extension of his contract, making him the new Creative Director of the upcoming Crocs x Pollex Pod collection. What does that mean? Well, as you might know, the Crocs Pollex Clog has been the success shoe of recent years. The fingerprint-inspired clog with signature Crocs looks, but a new design language was instantly sold out at SNS and continues to raise the bar with eye-catching colorways.

What is Salehe Bembury now doing with Crocs? After the first Crocs Pollex Clog was released in 2021 and became a smash hit, it is now time for the two partners to evolve the Crocs Pollex design and introduce new silhouettes and colorways within the collection.

“For many years, collaborations and product partnerships have been at the core of our brand strategy, and we are very proud of what we have been able to create in partnership with Salehe. His unique approach to design has brought a fresh perspective to our molded form and enabled us to connect with new consumers. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue this partnership and extend into dynamic new silhouettes.” – Michelle Poole, Crocs Brand President.

How did the collaboration between Crocs and Salehe Bembury start? It all began with Crogs DMing Salehe, offering him a few pairs of shoes. His response was iconic; he wanted to collaborate instead of free shoes and change the classic clog’s design while being at it. A few years later, one could say, the rest is history.
