The Instagram feed of Montreal-based Tumblr alumni and all-around tastemakers JJJJOUND is always ready to surprise us with a new collection, collaboration, or fun product. From hoodies and accessories to Levi’s collaborations, the recent post-bender by JJJJound has been the place where dreams of city kids fits were made, and you know what? It gets better!
JJJJound has now announced its first-ever collaboration with trail brand Salomon, so if you thought it couldn’t get any better, it just did. Or how one Instagram comment says: Damn, I guess I’m a hiker now! The silhouette the Canadians choose is the Salomon XT-Wings 2, a trail shoe that updates the original Wings sneaker. First released in 2011 and featuring techy elements such as SensiFit™ and EndoFit™ on the upper, the Salomon XT-Wings 2 also has an All Terrain Contagrip® outsole, an Agile Chassis™ System, and a Quicklace™ system. Since we have checked all the tech features, let’s see what the JJJJound x Salomon collaboration looks like.
From what we can see on the teasing image, the shoe is kept simple, with a beige and white base, donning blue overlays, and signature JJJJound branding on the lateral side of the shoe. It also comes as no surprise that JJJJound has worked on a less popular silhouette, giving Salomon a chance to introduce the model to a wider market and increase its popularity.
