Colombian singer, songwriter, and producer J Balvin has been pushing creative boundaries in the music and fashion industries. Known for hit singles like Mi Gente or LPs like Jose, the superstar artist has it all, from style to hits, you name it.
Having previously worked with Jordan Brand on two iconic silhouettes, the AJ1 and AJ2, the versatile artist has now put his innovative touch on not just one of the most iconic Jordan models but one of the most iconic sneakers in history, the Air Jordan 3. While some have guessed the next collaboration, J Balvin has given us a clearer look at what’s to come from this highly anticipated collab, unleashing them at the Miami Grand Prix. It’s easy to say that from what we’ve seen, this one is going to live up to the hype. Inspired by the sunsets of his hometown Medellín, this AJ3 features a sail-on-sail upper, yellow trim, and sunset gradients along the midsole and heel tab.
Balvin’s logo features on the heel of the right shoe to complete the look, while ‘Nike Air’ is displayed on the left, providing that OG aesthetic that we can’t get enough of with the AJ3. After seeing the results of Balvin’s AJ1, AJ2, and now AJ3, we hope that the record-breaking artist doesn’t stop there and continues to change the dynamics of the music and fashion industries.
