Back in 2006, Jordan Brand released one of the first-ever and most coveted sneaker packs to ever be released, the Defining Moments Pack, DMP in short. The pack consisted of two models, the Air Jordan 6 with a black nubuck upper and gold accents and an Air Jordan 11 “Concord” with special gold detailing.

Why Defining Moments Pack? Well, Jordan Brand wanted to celebrate Michael Jordan’s achievements. To do that, they came up with the idea to release two shoes in one gold and black box with a slide-out design, just like a home drawer. As mentioned, the pack consisted of the AJ6, which celebrates MJ’s first championship, where he led the Chicago Bulls over the LA Lakers in a 4-1 series. That exact silhouette made its second appearance in 2020, leaving us with the long-awaited retro release of the AJ11.

The “Concord-”like AJ11 celebrates MJ’s fourth Championship in 1996 (against the SONICS) after a short time as a baseball player, featuring embroidered gold detailing, and a translucent rubber outsole adding an extra spin to the OG colorway. Finished off by military-inspired dog tags and a small booklet, the double-boxed sneaker pair continues to be a sought-after duo, whereas the Air Jordan 11 is still up for a return.

But as you might have guessed it, there are rumors of the end boss returning the Air Jordan 11 DMP in its 2006 form, to complete the bundle. However, we do not have any more info that that we, similar to you, have access to social media to see coverage of an apparent re-release during the holiday season might be upon us.
