Born in 1969, the adidas Superstar was THE footwear of choice for almost the entire NBA during the 1970’s. As shoe technology evolved the iconic Shelltoe moved from the hard court to the street and is now one of the most recognized and beloved styles in sneaker and hip-hop culture (Run-D.M.C. anyone?).
Just like many of the adidas archival silhouettes, the Superstar were originally manufactured in Eastern France under ”La marque aux 3 bandes”. To celebrate its 45 year anniversary, adidas Originals reconnected with the family run Ateliers Heschung factory in France to create a special ”Made in France” Consortium edition of the Superstar. Carefully constructed in luxurious premium leather and proudly bearing the proof of quality ”Made in France” logo on the tongue.
The adidas Originals Superstar ”Made in France” is set for release this Friday December 12th at Sneakersnstuff.
